TuffWrap’s SmartSeam protects a daycare during reroofing. The daycare had classrooms, play spaces, and a karate studio that operates in the evening. These unique spaces present different challenges to completing the project. The work needs to be completed at night while the daycare is shut down, the space is tight and not easy to navigate, and the karate mats cannot be hurt.
Completing third shift work is nothing new to TuffWrap. Scheduling for third shift is something TuffWrap does regularly and we are no strangers to it. Working within your time constraints allows your business to stay open while the renovations are going on.
Next with the tight space of the daycare, of which included classroom spaces, TuffWrap had a few challenges to navigate. The tight spaces used a small Genie Runabout lift to navigate the classrooms and kid spaces. These little lifts easily navigate precisely around desks, through doorways, and around tight corners.
Finally the truly difficult challenge is installing SmartSeam over the karate mats. Plywood sheets were laid overtop of the mats and driven on with the same Genie Runabout for the classrooms on top. Protecting the mats from the wheels of the lift keeping the safe from damage and spreading the weight of the lift across a wider surface keeping it from tipping or swaying.
In the end TuffWrap was able to navigate all the challenges in this project. SmartSeam protected the daycare during its reroofing project. With the overnight schedule, tight spaces, and karate mats TuffWrap overcame these challenges to finish the project effectively and completely.
