TuffWrap FAQs

Below please find some answers to commonly asked questions regarding TuffWrap Installations, Inc.’s  Interior and Exterior Protection Services.

TuffWrap’s safety initiative extends throughout our company, including HQ standard procedures to worksite-specific program. TuffWrap’s Safety Manager oversees our safety programs and ensures they are developed according to regulations/ best practices and implemented consistently. Our employees are required to receive OSHA training, lift certifications, and FA/CPR training. In addition, TuffWrap’s Raise the Awareness program is implemented on each job site. Potential hazards are identified and communicated to keep everyone safe under those circumstances.

TuffWrap’s managers work with a facility project manager to effectively identify the needs and scope of the project. The manager develops flexible, innovative solutions and procedures to reach your construction goals. They will ensure collaboration between team members on a project to keep to a schedule and a successful construction project.

Providing pathways and access points when installing temporary containment solutions enables productivity to continue during construction. Whether the goal is to maintain work routines, need a way for the construction team to get in and out, or direct traffic during the project, temporary construction doors are an anchor to keep a facility operational. TuffWrap can accommodate the project with a pocket, zipper, and manual doors. If a conventional method does not work, an innovative solution like total enclosures and tunnels will keep a facility operational, even if it means 24 hours a day.

TuffWrap uses SmartSeam® suspended cover tailored to fit your project. While that is enough to secure most dust and debris, TuffWrap utilizes custom applications to provide custom solutions when needed. Debris Netting installed above the SmartSeam ceiling prevents larger objects such as roofing material and other debris from falling onto it. Fall Safety Netting protects workers.

TuffWrap’s SmartSeam® suspended cover, flame resistant and approved for installation below sprinkler systems, is International Fire & Building Code compliant, UL 723S, and NFPA 13. It is the first fully code-compliant suspended cover, redesigned to comply with both FM 4652 and IBC’s requirements. In case of a fire, the SmartSeam® heat-reactive seam, made up of 6′ x 5′ panels, open quickly to allow sprinklers to activate in case of fire.

Any type of renovation, retrofit, or reroofing project where products, property or people could be impacted by the spread of dust and debris caused by the construction activities.
