Hybrid Walls™

Temporary Dust Containment Built to Withstand Daily Facility Traffic

Hybrid Walls™ are a reinforced Frameless Wall™ system for projects where standard plastic barriers are not enough. They provide the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of a Frameless Wall with added rigidity at the base, and are built to adapt to changing site conditions while keeping construction separated from occupied spaces. The result is a stronger containment base that boosts performance and durability, while delivering a cleaner, more professional appearance throughout the project lifecycle.

Understanding the solution

What are Hybrid Walls ?

Hybrid Walls are reinforced temporary construction barriers designed for facilities where standard Frameless Walls may not provide enough durability. In active environments where employees, pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment move continuously, traditional plastic sheeting can quickly become damaged. Tears, gaps, punctures, and holes can allow dust and debris to escape the construction zone. Hybrid Walls solve this by combining TuffWrap’s Frameless Wall technology with rigid protective panels to shield the barrier from impact, abrasion, and daily traffic.

Applications include:

  • Controls Flame Spread
  • Antimicrobial
  • Innovative scrim design
  • Reinforced
  • Antistatic
  • custom fit
  • Strong 4-ply material
  • Doors opening available

HIGH-TRAFFIC CONTAINMENT SOLUTIONS

When Do You Need Hybrid Walls?

A reinforced temporary wall is the better solution when:

Pallet jacks regularly pass alongside barriers

Equipment is moved through active workspaces

High employee traffic exists near construction zones

Customer-facing areas require a professional appearance

Long-duration projects increase wear on containment systems

Traditional plastic barriers have previously failed

Containment areas are exposed to repeated contact or impact

OPERATIONAL CONTINUITY DURING RENOVATIONS

Built for Facilities That Need to Stay Operational

Many construction projects take place in facilities that cannot shut down. Hybrid Walls support movement by allowing construction and operations to continue together.

  • Manufacturing facilities: Protect production lines and equipment.
  • Warehouses: Maintain inventory protection.
  • Retail: Create professional separation.
  • Airports:  Durable containment in high-pedestrian areas.
  • Equipment installation: Protect operations during upgrades.

Unlike DIY or ad-hoc containment methods, engineered systems provide predictable performance, repeatable installation standards, and compliance-ready documentation for complex construction environments.

CONSTRUCTION BARRIER COMPARISON

Why Basic Plastic Barriers Fall Short Many facilities initially rely on shrink-wrap, plastic sheeting, or lightweight temporary barriers because they appear to be the most economical option. In reality, busy facilities quickly expose the limitations of these systems

PROJECT NEED BASIC PLASTIC / LIGHTWEIGHT FRAMELESS WALLS™ HYBRID WALLS™
Dust/Debris Containment Fails if torn/loose Professional grade Enhanced protection
Durability Low; prone to tears Strong performance Reinforced against impact
High-Traffic Areas Not ideal Works well Designed for high traffic
Forklifts / Pallet Jacks High risk of damage Controlled only Best for close equipment
Appearance Temporary/Unfinished Clean, custom fit Clean, reinforced
Maintenance Frequent repairs Low maintenance Minimal maintenance
Best use case Low-risk, short-term Active facility projects Demanding, high-traffic
