Prepare for October Weather with TuffWrap® EXT Walls & Doors

TuffWrap EXT durable exterior walls and doors to protect construction sites. It extends the work season, keeps crews safe, and prevents costly weather-related shutdowns.

October is a beautiful time of year, with leaves beginning to change colors and the temperatures starting to fall.

During the Fall months, it is an opportune time for exterior construction since the soil has yet to freeze as it does during the winter temperatures. Whether a project requires pouring a concrete foundation or renovating a building, the cooler temperatures provide a comfortable working environment.

Yet, the weather in October can vary widely depending on your location.  It is a time to prepare for surprises, including a mix of sun and cooler wet days. Construction projects can progress smoothly by preparing for the unpredictable fall weather, proper planning, and the appropriate materials.

For instance, using TuffWrap EXT resilient temporary weather barrier to enclose the exterior of a structure can extend the construction season and reduce downtime due to weather. These exterior walls stand up to all kinds of inclement weather conditions. Professionally installed TuffWrap EXT walls and doors are customized to fit your specific project needs.

TuffWrap EXT Double-Reinforced Walls

TuffWrap EXT installation on building

TuffWrap EXT consists of double-reinforced exterior walls that protect without stud framing. The engineered TuffWrap EXT walls are installed to withstand the wind conditions onsite. The standard design is capable of withstanding wind gusts of up to 45 mph. In addition, the design can be modified for more extreme environments to resist even stronger winds. TuffWrap EXT provides a safe interior work environment for crews, protecting them from harsh weather.

Implemented in various projects, TuffWrap EXT successfully encloses the exterior of a structure. The first TuffWrap EXT installation provided 370 linear feet of exterior protection for a worldwide auto parts manufacturer in Smyrna, TN. In another case, the largest exterior enclosure of 2,400 linear feet was for a global technology company constructing a GTN Data Center building in Nashville, TN. Undeniably, these projects demonstrate the effectiveness of TuffWrap EXT in keeping construction on track and providing protection from the elements.
