Frameless Walls™

TEMPORARY PLASTIC CONSTRUCTION WALLS for Active Facilities

Frameless Walls are TuffWrap's engineered temporary plastic construction wall system designed to create clean, secure separation between active construction zones and occupied facility spaces. Reach previously unachievable heights and widths with the frameless design. Unlike plywood, framed drywall partitions, shrink-wrap, or basic plastic sheeting, TuffWrap’s Frameless Walls™ provide a custom-fit dust containment solution that is installed quickly, adapts to complex environments, and is suitable for food environments. The result is effective dust and debris containment with minimal disruption to facility operations.

Understanding the solution

What Are Frameless Walls™?

Frameless Walls are an engineered temporary containment solution specifically for active facilities. Unlike traditional wall systems that rely on wood framing, structural supports, or permanent modifications, Frameless Walls™ mechanically attach to the building structure to create a secure containment with less disruption. The system reaches floor to ceiling and is secured to the roof deck to create a dust-tight seal, preventing dust and debris from traveling over, around, or through the barrier. Because the walls are smooth, impervious, and non-porous, they provide a clean and visually pleasing containment solution for occupied spaces. Frameless Walls™ adapt to complex facility layouts, bending around equipment, assets, and structures while maintaining continuous dust and debris control. The result is a temporary floor to ceiling plastic wall that is fast to install, easy to customize, and built for active construction environments.

Applications include:

  • Antistatic
  • Antimicrobial
  • Reduces Flame Spread
  • Strong 4-ply material
  • Custom Fit
  • No wood frame required

CHECK OUT THE LONGEST TEMPORARY CONTAINMENT WALL EVER INSTALLED

TuffWrap installed a temporary containment wall measuring 1,800 feet long (nearly one-third of a mile) by 38 feet high. This project shows what Frameless Walls™ can make possible when a construction space requires long spans, significant height, and reliable dust containment without traditional framing.

YOU NEED TEMPORARY INTERIOR WALLS WHEN…

Construction work is happening near people, products, equipment, inventory, or active operations. Frameless Walls™ are commonly used for:

  • Renovations and remodels
  • Equipment installations
  • Facility upgrades
  • Maintenance projects
  • Interior construction
  • Demolition and reconstruction
  • Warehouse improvements
  • Retail refreshes
  • Manufacturing modifications

For facilities that cannot fully shut down during construction, temporary containment walls help maintain separation, reduce cleanup, improve jobsite safety, and support operational continuity.

WHY NOT SHRINK WRAP, PLYWOOD, OR MODULAR WALLS?

TEMPORARY WALL OPTION COMMON LIMITATION FRAMELESS WALLS™ ADVANTAGE
Basic Plastic Sheeting Snags, tears, or leave gaps over time. Custom-fit containment with reinforced 4-ply material
Shrink-Wrap Barriers Difficult to repair or adapt once installed Flexible system designed around changing project conditions
Plywood Walls Labor-intensive, bulky, slower to remove, and expensive Faster installation and removal with minimal to no disruption. Cheap. Saves time and money.
Drywall Partitions Creates lots of waste and requires additional labor intensive finishing work Temporary installation without permanent changes
Modular Wall Systems Expensive, rigid, and difficult to fit around complex layouts Custom-engineered to fit equipment, columns, access points, and active workspaces

What appears to be a lower-cost solution upfront can lead to higher costs through repairs, cleanup, operational disruption, and project delays. Frameless Walls™ provide professional-grade containment without the burden of traditional construction methods.

Dip and Spread Still Made During New Production Line Installation

New equipment was being installed near the existing line, requiring cutting concrete and heavy construction vehicles. If the existing line wasn’t protected, the facility would shut down for days, leading to costly delays.
